Plexivo Postgres.
PostgreSQL 17, managed for you — with an API your frontend can call directly.
Two ways to connect
From your server — an App Runner service, Kubernetes, or your own backend — use the connection string, encrypted with TLS, with any PostgreSQL driver or ORM: Prisma, Drizzle, SQLAlchemy, Django, Rails, Laravel.
From your web or mobile app, skip the backend entirely. The Data API serves your tables over HTTPS with the project’s publishable key and the signed-in user’s token, and row-level security decides what each user can read and write.
// In the browser: this user's open tasks
const url = `${PLEXIVO_DATA_URL}/rest/v1/todos?done=eq.false`
const res = await fetch(url, {
headers: {
apikey: PLEXIVO_PUBLISHABLE_KEY,
Authorization: `Bearer ${session.access_token}`
}
})
const { data } = await res.json()Your data URL and publishable key are on the database’s Connect tab, with ready-made code for JavaScript, React, Vue, React Native and Flutter.
Everything an app needs, in one database
- Authentication — sign-up, sign-in and sessions for your users, ready for row-level security.
- Realtime — changes, broadcasts and presence pushed to every connected client.
- GraphQL — your schema as a GraphQL API, with live queries.
- Functions — server-side code beside your data, for webhooks and private logic.
- Table and SQL editors — browse, edit and query your data in the console.
Your data, protected
A full backup every night and the write-ahead log archived continuously, so your database can be restored to any moment within your retention. A restore always creates a new database, so the original keeps serving while you check the copy. Add a standby and Plexivo promotes it automatically if its node fails, at the same address. Read replicas scale your reads out.
You decide who connects
New databases are public with TLS and a generated password. Limit them to your trusted networks, with your own IP one click away, or make them private: no internet address at all, reachable only from your apps and Kubernetes on Plexivo. From your laptop, plexivo db connect opens a short-lived, encrypted tunnel to a public or private database alike. Every database also has its own stable address, which stays the same for its lifetime.
Patched for you, on your schedule
Minor updates and security fixes are applied in a weekly window you choose, after an email telling you what and when. A database with a standby switches over instead of stopping, and an update that does not come up healthy is rolled back automatically.
